  • Is plastic surgery safe?

    One should always seek a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon for all cosmetic surgical needs. Board-certification in Plastic Surgery is important as unfortunately many Doctors masqeuerade as Plastic Surgeons when in fact, they are certified in other Specialties. When conducted properly, Plastic Surgery is very safe.

  • Will I look overdone?

    Dr. Gronet strives for consistent and conservative surgical outcomes. His goal is to enhance your beauty and keep time standing still for years to come. With a conservative midset, patient consistently look sculpted and enhanced, never overdone.

  • How much does it cost?

    Cost is determined at consultation. Patient-specific treatment plans, like every patient, are unique. Thus, surgeries range from simple to complex, short to lengthy. The cost is related to specific procedures provided, not a cookie-cutter pre-arranged package.

  • What is the recovery process?

    Recovery is based on which procedures were performed, age, general health, and many factors. Healing is expedited where possible with ERAS (Enhanced recovery after surgery) techniques. After surgery activity will be prescribed and monitored. Nutrition may be supplemented. Postoperative compression garments may be worn for up to and sometimes over one month. Postoperative massages may be provided along with routing evaluation by Dr. Gronet himself.

  • What if I've already had surgery?

    Dr. Gronet will be happy to consult with you. Many patients require revisionary surgery for a number of reasons. Dr. Gronet regularly performs revisionary surgery on local and out-of-town patients.

  • Does Dr. Gronet accept Insurance?

    Dr. Gronet does not accept insurance. If you would like to file on your own, Dr. Gronet will provide ICD-10 and CPT codes.

FAQ - Face

  • My face is ageing, what are my options?

    There are numerous options to facial rejuvenation. These all begin with skin care, moisturizer, sun protection, etc. After a skin care routine is set, non-surgical options are available beginning with neurotoxin and dermal fillers. From here there are modern technological options including radio-frequency skin tightening. The gold standard remains facial fat grafting and a facelift/necklift.

  • My neck is heavy, what can be done?

    It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

  • What are the different types of rhinoplasty?

    There are two main approaches to rhinoplasty: open and closed. The open method has a small scar to the columella, with the remaining incision hidden. The closed method avoids this small scar. Dr. Gronet prefers the open approach as this allows full view of the nasal anatomy as well as access to it.

  • Will insurance cover my rhinoplasty?

    Insurance companies will sometimes cover a portion of a rhinoplasty procedure. If there is a septal deviation or an obstruction at one of the nasal valves, then insurance may help with some of the cost. What will not be covered is any maneuver designed to improve the nasal aesthetics, including a dorsal hump or tip refinement.

  • What is the difference between Botox and Filler?

    Botox and other neurotoxins paralyze facial muscles. This reduces dynamic, or active wrinkling that occurs when the face moves - think side eye looks and smiling.

    Filler works to nourish the skin from within. Hyaluronic acid is a natural constituent of skin, this is the main ingredient in most available fillers.

FAQ - Breast

  • Why are the scars longer with a breast lift vs augmentation?

    Since breast are soft, breast implants are too and can be snuck in with a tiny scar! The breast lift, or mastopexy, relies on shrinking the skin and breast tissue in order to lift the nipple and areola. The shrinking process involves removing tissue - and this requires a scar.

  • I have breast implants, now what?

    After time the breast implant will stretch the soft tissues and this may require a lift to contour the breast. Some women will prefer a size change. Some will be ready for implant removal for any number of reasons.

  • I had breast reconstruction in the past, can any improvements be made?

    The emotional cost of breast cancer is assisted by mandatory insurance coverage of breast reconstruction. Thanks to this law, breast reconstruction is available to women throughout their lives. From the time of diagnosis to decades later. Revisions and improvement as well as scheduled adjustments are made throughout a woman’s journey.

  • How do I get my pre-baby body back?

    Dr. Gronet regularly performs body contoruing after children. Most commonly this includes a tummy tuck and a breast procedure. The breast surgery may be a straight forward augmentation with silicone implants, sometimes a breast lift will also be required, especially after breastfeeding.

  • I lost a lot of weight, what can I do?

    Weight loss often begets loose skin. Minimal laxity can be treated with liposuction and skin tightening. If this will not improve the redundancy then surgery can tailor the skin back to your now smaller body!

    Absolutely! For those concerned with wearing compression garments after surgery, facial procedures are in season.
